I love this show. Really, truly, I love it. It is hilarious and people don't appreciate it the way they should. We started watching Season 1 on dvd and are halfway through already. It just cracks me up, I love the cutaways and random montages, it's great.
Adam will be leaving any day now. He is in Mississippi waiting to be sent over. I've talked to him a lot lately, he called me really early this past Saturday and I think now we're at a point where everything is really truly going to be okay with us. I don't really want to go into too much detail because it's really personal, and the people who really need to know what he said to me already know. All that matters is that we talked about things and there were some things he needed to let me know, and I am so grateful we were given the opportunity to be able to talk. But I miss him already, as well I should, I have not seen him since New Year's Eve. We have been able to talk on the phone a lot though so that helps. I told him I would always be there no matter what and the day he comes home from Iraq, you bet your ass I will be there, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, could keep me from the Armory on that day.
So my manager at work left, he is going across the street to Best Buy. A lot of people were upset, especially those who have worked with him for so long. Me, on the other hand? Not so much. I didn't really like him much and avoided him at all costs. As a manager, I feel it is his (and the assistant managers too) responsibility to help new employees. I don't feel that it is helpful to just train them for a few days and expect them to know everything, because there are always going to be random things that do not come up in training. Our managers do not like to be paged by employees who have questions. Now, this is understandable if the employee has been there for a couple years or so and should know what is going on. I do not feel, however, that they should leave new employees to just stumble along on their own. I think that is really poor management and managers being lazy. If you have a key to the register and I need to void something and the only way to void it is by using the key, then get your ass out of your office and help me out. If it is something not physically possible for me to do on my own, then sorry, but you have to work for five minutes out of your day, my sincerest apologies.
So this boyfriend thing is working out nicely thus far. Pretty much all the "rules" have been broken in terms of Knappster's Roller Coaster theory, but hey, it's worth it. And that's all I have to say about that ;)
By the way, tomorrow night we're taking Teetz to Sandy's to get him all kinds of fucked up on Elk Creek Water, so if you don't annoy me and I actually like you, come with us, give my cell a call. Later kids.
